mindfulness meditation et cetera


The beauty about mindfulness and meditation is that you can't do it wrong. There is no right, wrong, or perfect. As you are is just fine. Here you learn some really simple techniques and see where that takes you. You get to take the techniques, the practices, and explore them and make discoveries about what works for you and how it feels for you when you do the practice.
You can do the introduction to mindfulness and meditation et cetera course. Explore with others, share and have a sense of community while you discover what mindfulness and meditation will mean to you. This course is 6 weeks long, with sessions weekly of 2 hrs. Usually on a Sunday afternoon from 1pm till 3pm.
You can also come to the weekly guided meditation sessions where we practice together and have a chat and share. Though if you don't want to share you can just practice, that is fine. These will be a different theme each week and include a shortish 10minuteish talk to start, then we practice, and then have a chat about our experience in small groups of 2 or 3 and then back to the main group to share. Nice way to come together and have a like minded chat.
You can do the making a change short course where we look at how to create a nice new routine in your life. You can use this to create some structure to your meditation so you can practice when you want to without the business of life getting in the way. You can also use this course to bring anything new into your life that you want, or something related to your health that you would like to change. Like eating more apples or less white bread or a regular exercise routine. We'll explore why you want to make the change, the trans-theoretical model of behaviour change, journalling, what is stopping me?, what are the benefits?, where are you at?, we'll use smart goals (specific, measurable, action based, realistic, and time based), BEST barriers, problem solving and how daily stressors make an impact. Making a change is not as simple as a new years resolution, bang you are done, this workshop lets us explore the change we want and flesh out how we can do that and what might get in the way. It is a great supportive way to bring that change into your life. Also 6 weeks long but spaced over 9 weeks.
